Scarecrow Contest


2022 Rules
The contest is open to any individual, business, organization, team, or non profit that would like to contribute to the Livingston Central Park's spirit of the fall season.
Participants are encouraged to develop a design that is appropriate for public display, utilizing materials that will withstand elements that may include wind, rain, and/or snow.
Our 2022 theme is Creative Creatures, where entries are encouraged to incorporate a real or mythical animal into their scarecrow design.
In order to participate, please submit a completed application by going to www.uppercumberlandevents.com and clicking the Scarecrow Application on the Home Screen, along with a $25.00 registration fee to go as a donation to the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce.
When designing your scarecrow, keep in mind that the general public is invited to cast their ballots on their preferred scarecrow for each of the following categories:

The Scarecrow that best incorporates the 2022 theme
Scarecrows will be voted on by the public on November 12th during the Festival. There is no limit on the number of votes that can be submitted.
Scarecrows can not exceed 6' in height, and cannot be wider than 2.5'
Discplaces cannot extend beyond 1 ft off the Park Fence and/or go past the curb. Scarecrows can not obstruct pedestrians walkway.
Displays can not include acts of violence, nudity, political or racially insensitive activities.
The Chamber of Commerce, City of Livingston, or Upper Cumberland Events are not responsible for the maintenance or care of individual entries. Participants are encouraged to provide upkeep true to their design.
Scarecrows will be set up at Livingston Central Park along the Fence beginning on Friday from 4pm until 7pm. Entries must remain until time of removal/cleanup from November 26th until November 28th. all Entries must be removed by November 28th.
The Chamber or Upper Cumberland Events reserves the right to NOT ACCEPT any entry that is deemed inappropriate for general public display.
